Location: Remote

Works Congruently With: Director of Growth & Brands / Marketing Team
Compensation: $45-$60/hour, depending on experience
Growth Potential: Potential for full-time and leadership

About the Role

Lex Tecnica is seeking an experienced Digital Marketing & SEO/AIO Specialist to own SEO execution, website optimization, marketing technology, and lead-generation systems across Lex Tecnica and our primary practice brands.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can move fluidly between SEO strategy and implementation. We need someone who can identify opportunities and then get the work done, whether that means improving technical SEO, optimizing or publishing content, building backlinks, editing a WordPress page, troubleshooting a GoHighLevel workflow, or making sure a lead reaches the right intake team.

You will work closely with the Director of Growth & Brands, PPC manager, attorneys, intake team, designers, and web partners. Success requires independent ownership, strong judgment, technical problem-solving, and a focus on measurable growth and qualified leads.

Key Responsibilities

  • SEO Ownership: Own SEO strategy and execution across Lex Tecnica and our primary brands, including technical, on-page, local, and content SEO; keyword research; competitive analysis; internal linking; indexing; redirects; schema; site architecture; and ongoing optimization.
  • Content & Blog SEO: Develop SEO content calendars and briefs based on keyword opportunities and search intent; optimize attorney-authored and marketing content; publish and format blogs in WordPress; and refresh existing content to improve visibility and conversions.
  • Backlink Strategy: Develop and execute a high-quality backlink strategy through relevant outreach, citations and directories, partnerships, digital PR opportunities, and ongoing backlink monitoring. Avoid spammy or high-risk link-building tactics.
  • AI Search / AIO: Help position our brands for visibility in traditional search as well as AI-driven search and answer engines through strong content structure, authority signals, and technically sound websites.
  • WordPress & Landing Pages: Build, edit, publish, and optimize WordPress pages and landing pages; handle routine website updates; and troubleshoot issues affecting SEO, user experience, lead generation, or conversion.
  • GoHighLevel & Intake: Manage the marketing-side implementation of GoHighLevel across our primary brands, including forms, pipelines, tags, workflows, automations, calendars, email/SMS follow-up, lead routing, and notifications.
  • Integrations & Lead Flow: Ensure leads from organic search, Google Ads, landing pages, calls, and other digital sources are accurately captured, attributed, and routed to the appropriate intake process. Identify and fix gaps where leads or data are being lost.
  • Analytics & Measurement: Work with our PPC manager to maintain accurate GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, conversion tracking, attribution, and reporting. Own SEO reporting for organic visibility, traffic, rankings, leads, and conversions.
  • Conversion Optimization: Evaluate the full digital journey from search or ad to landing page, form/call, GoHighLevel, and intake. Identify friction and execute improvements that increase qualified leads and consultations.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Independently diagnose and resolve issues involving WordPress, GHL, forms, tracking, integrations, workflows, indexing, and other marketing technology.
  • Documentation & Systems: Maintain organized documentation of websites, plugins, SEO processes, integrations, workflows, automations, tracking, and access so critical knowledge does not live with one person.
  • Collaboration & Ownership: Work alongside marketing leadership, PPC, intake, attorneys, creatives, and outside partners to prioritize initiatives, communicate progress and risks, and drive assigned projects through completion.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 3-5+ years of hands-on SEO and digital marketing experience with demonstrated success improving organic visibility, traffic, lead generation, and conversion.
  • SEO Expertise: Strong knowledge of technical, on-page, local, and content SEO; keyword research; content strategy; backlink development; Search Console; and site health.
  • Web & CRM: Advanced WordPress experience and hands-on experience with GoHighLevel or a comparable CRM/marketing automation platform. Direct GoHighLevel experience is strongly preferred.
  • Analytics: Strong working knowledge of GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, conversion tracking, attribution, and performance reporting.
  • Growth Marketing: Experience with landing pages, funnels, lead generation, marketing automation, conversion-rate optimization, and digital customer journeys.
  • Industry Experience: Experience working with or providing contracted marketing services to a law firm, accounting firm, or similar professional-services organization is strongly preferred.
  • Technical Problem-Solving: Ability to independently diagnose problems, recommend solutions, and implement fixes across SEO, websites, tracking, CRM workflows, and integrations.
  • Execution & Communication: Highly organized, proactive, and dependable with strong follow-through and the ability to translate technical or performance information into clear recommendations.

The Ideal Candidate

You are strategic enough to see what should happen and hands-on enough to make it happen. You use data to make decisions, solve problems rather than simply identify them, communicate proactively, and take ownership through completion.

You are comfortable moving between SEO strategy, WordPress implementation, content optimization, backlink development, GoHighLevel workflows, analytics, and lead-flow troubleshooting. You know when to dig into the details and when to communicate a larger opportunity or risk to the team.

You are comfortable operating independently while collaborating closely with the Director of Growth & Brands and the broader marketing and intake teams. Most importantly, you measure success by business outcomes, not marketing activity.

The Opportunity

Lex Tecnica is not marketing a single law firm or practice area. We operate a growing portfolio of legal brands, each with its own website, audience, campaigns, SEO opportunities, and lead-generation needs. This creates a unique opportunity to help build and improve the digital infrastructure supporting multiple brands and markets.

The position will begin as an independent contractor role at approximately 15-20 hours per week. We are specifically looking for someone who can grow with us. As Lex Tecnica expands, there is potential for this role to become full-time and develop into a leadership position overseeing SEO, marketing technology, and digital growth.

We seek people who under promise and over perform. Success in this role will be measured by stronger organic visibility, qualified leads, reliable digital systems, actionable data, and measurable improvements in the path from search to intake.

Why Join Us?

Lex Tecnica combines high-level legal counsel with a human-led, technology-forward approach. Our centralized marketing infrastructure supports multiple practices, brands, and markets while giving our teams room to build, innovate, and grow.

We treat our team members like people and protect the harmony between professional excellence and personal flexibility.

Let’s go change the world!
